There will defenitly be a changing room at convention center Essen for CE2!!
It mostl likely won't be 501st exclusive but for all attending costume groups.
And LFL wants us to know they are providing the room but our stuff will not be insured.
Please make sure you bring locks for your costume cases. Not that we don't trust each other, just to be on the safe side.

Hi All,
There is currently a changing room (size unknown at this time) for the officially recognised costuming groups: 501st Legion, Rebel Legion, Mando Mercs and R2 Builders Club. LFL have said that we would have to provide our own security. I have rasied on several occasions with the Fan Advisory Group how would we do this, given the number of people/languages involved? With the exception of RLUK, nobody seems really bothered. I have suggested a rota system, which I believe is fair.
I've also asked if the changing area is for ALL costumers of these groups, even if they are not going to participate in manning booths, volunteering for activities, etc. LFL have stated the following:
I am leaning toward having the storage area be for the costuming clubs with the big exhibits only.
That would be:
• 501st Germany, France, UK, Belgium
• Rebel Legion Germany and UK
• Droid Builders
You would still be responsible for securing it.
If that ends up being more trouble than it is worth for you – which I do not want it to be – we could forgo that area, just not have it.
This seems fair - if you are adding something to the show, you get onsite changing. If you are just another costumed punter, you don't get access as you would take up room needed by those who are volunteering. There is room left on the German Garrison's volunteer sheet (on the 501st boards) and I will put up one for our booths closer the time (you can see the time slots on the Sign Up thread).
I've told LFL and the Fan Advisory Group that if there is no onsite changing, a lot of the UKG will not bring their costumes, which would reduce the costuming experience of the convention. We (along with the other groups) have to make this work if we are to benefit from it. I am rather disappointed with the apparent apathy of the other groups, though.
